Well Permits
Typically, the Colorado Division of Water Resources is very helpful in facilitating water well permit application, reasonable review, and prompt approval. Sometimes they require information beyond that immediately available to the applicant. In such instances, Guide Water can help, whether you seek a permit to drill a new well, to use an existing well, or to modify or replace an existing permit.
When your project needs groundwater from an over-appropriated stream-aquifer system, a Substitute Water Supply Plan or court-approved Plan for Augmentation can be required prior to issuing a well permit.
